Sun Capital Foundation/Charity Blog

This year, the Sun Capital Partners Foundation donated $300,000 to charities that do important work both near our home in southern Florida and across the nation. Five great organizations were awarded contributions this year:

Boca Helping Hands, a food center, crisis resources center, and provider of job training

Handy, an organization whose mission is to embrace, educate, and empower vulnerable youth to become engaged, productive adults

Women in Distress, the only nationally accredited, and state-certified, full service domestic violence center serving in the Broward County area

Junior Achievement of South Florida, the world's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices

YMCA, the only charity in Palm Beach County that has a Drowning Prevention Program with the goal to eliminate accidental death by drowning through education, outreach, training, and swim instruction.

Including this year’s donations, the Sun Capital Partners Foundation has cumulatively given over $11 million since its launch in 2008. I’m incredibly proud of the work that our foundation does, and that we are able to make a meaningful difference to peoples’ lives through our support of these selfless non-profit organizations.
